I work the graveyard shift and I usually start to paint at sunrise when I get out of work. You would think that 40 degree weather would keep bugs at a minimum. Well, not here in Florida. These bugs don't play. Its too bad, im starting to get really good reflection.

Sorry didn't take pictures, ran outta batteries! All I did was wet sand with 600g. I applied very little pressure while sanding.

Second coat
As usual, prepping the surface is vital to painting pretty much anything. I just laid down the 2nd coat. According to the guys over at the Moparts Forum, ive laid down my 2 coats way too thick. I should be getting complete coverage on my 4-5th coat!

First coat
I prepped the surface by soaking a clean rag with the paint thinner (which contains 100% mineral spirits) and wiping down the hood. After it evaporated, I got a tack cloth and started to paint. The paint itself has to be thinned down to allow it to "flatten" out properly. Well, either I added too much or too little this is what happened.

Lets do this.
Using Rustoleum Paint and some paint thinner, you can actually paint your car. With enough work put into it, you can actually make it show-like quality. There is a huge thread over at the Moparts Forum , where a member named challengeryeehaa presented us with the method of painting your car for about $50.
Well I still have my first car sitting around in my backyard and decided this would be a real good practice car.
